Hello!

I am a political scientist with a background in environmental economics, working on the political economy of energy and climate policy. I completed my PhD in Political Economy at the University of Zurich in 2025 and hold an MSc in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics. My research examines market-based instruments, international negotiations, and subnational energy policies, using econometrics and text analysis to study institutional design, cooperation, and policy outcomes.

My work sits at the intersection of climate policy, environmental economics, and machine learning.

Carbon Pricing

I am interested in carbon pricing mechanisms with a focus on emissions trading systems. Currently, I work on carbon markets at the regional (the EU ETS), as well as the international level (CDM, JI, and Art. 6 of the Paris Agreement).

Machine Learning

I investigate the applications of machine learning methods in carbon markets.

Network Analysis

With cluster and network analysis, I decode the interests and the behaviour of traders in carbon markets.
